Sheehan is an AV rated regional defense litigation firm seeking a Legal Assistant for our Westmont, NJ office to work in an active litigation practice with a collegial environment and opportunity for professional growth and advancement.
Seeking an energetic individual who will work effectively as a team member with two plus years' experience working in civil litigation.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to typing digital dictation, drafting correspondence, preparing and filing pleadings in all venues, including State and Federal Courts, reviewing and responding to incoming mail, maintaining paper and electronic files and attorney calendar.
Assist attorneys in all aspects of case handling from inception of case through trial preparation.
Must have excellent written and oral communication, computer and organizational skills.
Minimum of two years of experience of prior civil litigation or insurance defense experience is preferred.
